2 ball bearing level winder system for ABU 2500C, 2501C, 2600C, 2601C and 3500C.
Another ball bearing is inside the black plastic part. You may access to the bearing by unscrewing the screw on the gear.
For 70's old 2500C, the black part should be cut to fit into the plate. Photo attached.
