Shimano 2022 Metanium Shallow Edition is a tournament grade bait caster for serious anglers. This Shallow Edition is tuned to cast light rigs with more accuracy for mainly 5-10g, 3/16-3/8oz rigs. Yumeya shallow spool is installed. ESD, extra strong duralumin, drive gear is installed instead of brass gear to remove weight by 10g. It is ultra light and super smooth, and you may focus on fishing. Its smoothness is achieved by two major features, Coresolid one-piece frame construction and micro-module gears. Its Coresolid main frame is now structuring palming side cup as one-piece, reinforcing the total body sturdiness. Gear side cup is also made of magnesium alloy to make it very solid and light. Spool holder is made of aluminum. Micro-module gears remove gearing noise by half to offer very silky smooth gearing, also longer life of gears.
