ABU Ambassadeur 5500CA 5501CA Factory Tuned is specifically designed for heavy duty use. Its body construction is made of brass, not aluminum. ABU Sweden sometimes release reproduction/limited models of its classic models, and these ABU reels are released only for Japan market in 2015, with super tuned performance.
The original 5500CA was the heavy duty model with brass frame, instead of aluminum frame of 5500C with palming cup, sold around 1980. This 5500CA Factory Tuned has following upgrades to offer the most advanced performance. They are like instant anti-reverse system, ultra cast spools, 2 ball bearing level winder system, ceramic ball bearings at spool, 2 ball bearing cog, carbon matrix 8kg drag washers, rivetted reel feet, drilled dimple spool and etc.
