Ryoga Bay Jigging is super durable heavy duty compact bait caster. It has much thicker gear box than regular Ryoga (Daiwa Pluton Japan version) to hold thicker gears. It is specifically designed for inshore light jigging with 20-40lb-test braided lines. Super sturdy aluminum one-piece body construction and salt resistant components offer reliable performances for over times. This fishing reel is more suitable for the use as conventional reel, than casting reel.
Bay Jigging has centrifugal brake for casting and dropping rigs. Gear box thickness is increased by 50% from original Pluton/Ryoga to hold more durable mechanicals, to stand for heavy load from fish in ocean.
This is the first bait casting reel to employ Mag-shield water proof ball bearing, at pinion gear. It shields water effectively while does not add dragging, preventing ball bearing damage from saltwater.
