Daiwa 24 Certate AirDrive Design 2024- Solid spinning with feather like operation debut!

Daiwa All New 2024 Certate AirDrive Design spinning is to offer feather like operation by reduced weight, well balanced body and light acceraration in handle turn, to give you more control in manipulation. Upgrades are mostly at the front of the reel. AirDrive Rotor has sphere-like shape to reduce weight and innertia by 16%. AirDrive Bail has a little slim 2.4mm dia (3.0mm for previous models) bail tubes and new shape to remove weight and to guide lines smooth to line rollers. AirDrive Spool has new drag clicking system separately from spool body, to remove weight. AirDrive Shaft design separates main shaft from pinion to remove friction, expecially at fights. Now more precision collar holds the shaft for smoother operation.
ATD Type-L drag releases lines more smoothly. ATD has a unique profile that incleaeses pressure as line accelerates faster. Type-L drag has less increasing drag for the acceleration. Twist Buster 3 new line roller has a kind step at the cone shaped roller for lines to settle well. Long Cast ABS spool has 2-lip design to maximize casting distance.
Mag-seal system is employed at pinion and line roller, to enlong the life of the reel. Mag-seal is the water repellant system using magnetic oil and ring magnets, achieving both light friction and high sealing performance. It has reduced line roller repairs by 1/10 at Daiwa.

Jun's comment: Picked a 24 Certate 2000S-H as the river trout reel for long term testing. I will match it up with 5'3"-6' UL trout rods, 4-6lb mono or #0.6 braid lines, 3.5g-6g spoons, heavy sinking minnows in 50mm like D-Contact 50 and etc. The reel feels some dragging in handle turn compared to my 23 Airity and old Shimano Vanquish 1000 just out of box. It feels quite solid and tough. Hope this reel tunes in soon. May 2024 This one worked great on river trout fishing from banks and canoe. I didn't feel the dragging any more in actual fishing. It had almost no trouble in fishing. Cranked very smooth. Let's see how it goes. Aug 2024.
