Mepps spinners have been productive for long time, and they are still catching well. Aglia spinners have very strong vibration, much stronger than its rival Blue Fox Vibrax spinners, to catch better for trout in rivers. They spins well at relatively slow speed, and this is the spinner to cast up-stream directions. Jun's comment: I have been using Mepps Aglia 3.5g, and have been satisfied with its performance in all small streams in Boulder Colorado, Wissahickon Philadelphia, Fresno and Sierra California, Tokachi and Siretoko in Hokkaido Japan. I change hooks to a sharper #10 treble Vanfook DT-48F for better hooking.
