Jun's comment: This bait worked great on 2025 April Sawara, Spanish Mackarel, fishing from boat in Niigata. Fish size was up to 5kg, at average 2.5kg. They were staying deep at around 8m, and I jerked this bait rod down. Fish sometimes goes up and bite, but they don't chase baits much. Heavier sinking minnows or metal jigs directly swiming through 8m deep didn't work well by the time, and this was the only bait and tactics I could catch fish, and I have landed quite a few of them. I have brought quite many diving seabass baits, and learned most of them do not dive much or make darting actions, like Daiwa Shoreline Shiner Setupper 125SDR at 1.5m. It swims smooth, but does not make a darting action.
