Varivas Super Trout Advance Double Cross PE X8 Hi-vis Orange, Light Green 100m Creek trout special braid

Availability: In stock

Varivas Double Cross PE X8 line is developed for trout fishing in tiny rivers. The line body is a little limpy and it reduces line problems. The limply line also works well on bait casting reels. The line has a little heavy weight ratio 1.12 and it receives less effect from winds. The line body is woven by 2 materials, PE fibers and Ester fibers. The 8-strand body offers the smoothest line surface removing friction. Made in Japan.

Jun's comment: This line has worked great for my trout fishing, in the scope it has less tangle at guides. I picked 0.8 Orange for the trout tests in Hokkaido in August 2023. The line is quite easy to see even at dark creeks. Its line surface is a bit rough, making slight noise when I reel in lines, but it is okay. It felt some dragging in casting from friction at guides in casting 3g spoons. The braided body is surely larger, and it felt like #1.0 of YGK braids. So, 3g spoons didn't cast well with #0.8. 5g baits cast no problem. This line is superb with D-Contact50. I use it with hyper twitching techniques, and this line has no tangle from twitchings at guides. In total, I recommend 0.6 of this line for creek trout fishing with 5'6"-6' UL rods. 0.8 should be used for large rivers with 5g or heavier rigs. 20, Aug 2023.
