Shimano 26 Ocea Conquest FT 60 2026- Finesse tuned Ocea Conquest for small jigs and tai-rubber fishing. Now we take pre-orders

Availability: In stock

This Ocea Conquest FT (finness tune) 60 reel is specifically designed for tai-rubber fishing with PE0.6-0.8 braid. Its small and light spool stops as soon as jigs hit bottom and you may notice easy. Instant wind-up from bottom is very effective to catch Madai, red snappers. 110mm long power handle is the best for the fishing with 30-120g tai-rubbers. Disengaging level winder reduces friction in free spool, and your jigs hit bottom faster. Other Ocea Conquest reels in 200 and 300 have engaged level winders though.

Following is the explanation of its origin Shimano 23 Calcutta Conquest BFS. Difference is at the 110mm long handle and gear ratios.

All New Calcutta Conquest BFS (Baitcaster Finnesse System) special model is to cast very light rigs like 2g 1/16oz with a bait caster. Its NEW FTB brake system has been sophisticated from previous 2017 version, to remove brake force when spool speed is low to add more casting distance. Combined with new Magnum Light Spool3, new Conquest BFS performs sweet. Ball bearings and oil are tuned for finnesse systems.

Jun's comment: Oh, this is I've wanted. And I have built the similar one by installing a lower gear from other Shimano and longer Avail handle to my 23 Calcutta Conquest BFS HG reel. I often enjoy Tai-rubber fishing in the Tokyo bay, and this reel surely improves catch. Madai in the water is nervous because from pressures from many anglers. And this reel lets us to use lighter tai-rubber jigs than with other reels. I have used 80g lead head around 5 years ago, and now use 45g tungsten head for the same depth of 45-55m with the custom built Conquest BFS, the same reel as here. And I catch more.
