All new 2025 Shimano high-end bait caster Antares operates in the exquisite smoothness. Body construction and presision of components are all to remove roughness in operation and to pursue smoothness, sinky feeling. Hagane, metal body hosts components solid. 3 bearing supported mainshaft has the least play in cranking. Newly developed Magnum Light Spool 4 has convex shaped spool bottom to remove vibration in casting. Spool diameter is enlarged to 37mm, for the best performance. Spool bearings are tuned to hold spool shaft without vibration. Micro module gears are much sophisticated, which has twice the number of gear teeth than regular gears, to drastically reduce the gearing noise. There is an O-ring between pinion and spool shaft to remove wobble when they are engaged. Brake is variable SVS Infinite centrifugal system, and you may adjust the centrifugal brake without opening side plate easy. Upon the smooth operation, you may expect added casting distance with the new Antares. Lines surely fly.
