Kureha is the first company to develop fluorocarbon line in market, and still the only polymer manufacturer of fluorocarbon line in Japan. Seaguar lines are made of the most advanced polymer material in market directly from Kureha Chemical R&D department.

Seaguar R18 Fluoro LTD. Hard BASS is a super premium fluorocarbon line of the strength and flexibility. This is the strongest line among Kureha Seaguar. The line employs FNT process to make the the strongest polymers to have the flexibility, allowing the R18 Fluoro LTD. Hard BASS to have both the maximum tie strength, the most abrasion resistance, the best sensitivity and flexibility. The line body is also made of two polymers to make more strong line while keeping it flexible. Its surface has hard polymer for more tie strength and abrasion resistance, and its core has flexible polymer.

Compared to Seaguar Ace and other premium fluorocarbon lines, Seaguar R18 Fluoro LTD. has about 20% more tie strength. And this Hard BASS edition has harder body than original R18 Fluoro LTD. to have more sensitivility, but it also make the line limpy, a bit hard to handle, as it has more memory.

Jun's comment: This is a great fluorocarbon line to invest. It is flexible and tough. It doesn't snap when I hook while using quite low lb-test lines. I assume this is the effect of high tie strength. Even when I feel line contact to rocks, it doesn't break easily. I strongly recommend this R18 Fluoro Ltd. and Toray Bawo Super Hard premium-plus among fluorocarbon lines for freshwater bass/bream fishing.
