The high-end model of Calcutta sold in Japan, Calcutta XT reels, were color anodized and sold from a tackle shop. There were green, black, red, and blue to my memory. Just after it advertise those modified Calcutta reels, it stopped carrying them, and only few of those reels were released. Shimano might have complained to the shop and it stopped producing them. Reel feet rivets are replaced by screw to have perfect anodization. Casting control cap is darker gold than stock Calcutta reel.
Released in around 1995 in a very limited number. These reels were not legitimate limited version from Shimano. The green specimen, 100XT of the photo is the only reel I managed to obtain.
