Lines in this section have very thin coatings on them, and they are very soft. They have almost no memory. These lines are the best for spinning reels to cast the longest. For bait casting reels, please choose JP line # 2.0 or thicker for PE-braid-fine reels, JP line #3.0 or thicker for regular reels.
Two possible problems have to be avoided to use the soft line with bait casters, backlash and dig-in. Even a slight amont of lines are excess in casting, braided line will not leave from line column and re-wrapped on to the spool to cause sudden stop. Thumb may not detect it because no nest will be made in the backlash of soft braided lines. The second problem is dig-in. Line column of braided lines are soft, and lines dig-in when you apply large load to lines, like in fighting with fish. With the line dug into the column, line may not leave in casting and will stops suddenly. For braided lines, sudden stop end up with line breaks because line doesn't stretch to absorb shock.
PE braid fine reels have fast moving level winder system and a little stronger brake to prevent the two problems, and may use thinner soft braids than regular reels. Please tie mono-filament top shot for both more abrasion resistance and shock resistance.
